Brake solution?

prod-
When you buy pads they should give you a packet of slide lube. (or you can buy it).. One name is Sil-Glide* Brake lubricant
You remove your slide bolts & clean everyrthing & add just a bit on the bolts to slide easily..
This is an area where more is NOT better..

Plus, it is good maintenance to clean everything. But I never used Compressed air, brake dust is bad to breathe...Never know what's in the compounds.
Just get a can of Brake-Kleen* & put a pan under it & spray them clean..Eye protection would be good here too..
Rear brake shoes have 4 contact points against backing plates, that should get a light smear of this too.. Stops annoying squeak when you just hit the brakes...

solman-
Rear brake adjuster is on top towards REAR of car (see arrow in pic), there is a rubber plug in backing plate to access it (on mine anyhow)... Not exactly easy to get at, but a couple clicks a big difference..
I just removed my drums to clean. inspect & adjust & finally paint them..

It's really tight behind the backing plate..Might be easier to just yank the drums, give everything a clean, & inspection & go from there...

I figured it was, just could see it that well. Got a long weekend this weekend and the weather is supposed to cool off. Might be a good change to do this. I've already got to do the oil again.

Wow wish I would have came back here to look this up ( d'oh)
Had this same vibration on my 2002 s10 4x4 and changing the factory pads fixed it. Both the hhr and the s10 had pits in the pads which lead me to believe was the issue...
I dont think that is going to be the case this time... still felt the vibration after test drive with new pads. I see some of you are keeping the factory rotor...
Pad wise you guys think ceramic stop this?
Do to lack of funds I had to get
Duralast pads thinking they were the organic ones...

Crappy Rotors
I have an 07 and brakes were machined 5 times on same oem. First was at 7600km and later around 20000km until final 82000km. My vehicle is a lemon. Too many issues. Get rid of them. I switched to cross drilled i bought on ebay with pads. Total $100 and local pick up. Great deal and work way better than those crappy oem. Oem's must be made in China. They suck.
