Thumbs up Brake vibration resolved

Tanks to Snoopy, the lug nuts ont the hubs were inlaid in the back of the mags and made them not turning straight.

But it does not solve the problem. At around 6 000 miles, the rotors have to be resurfaced. Thanks to Chevy Mgr. Then I bring my car to the dealer to fix the problem. I try to get brand new ones, but they refused, instead my car is almost new.

So GM wont change the way they made cars and I think it's why lot of people turn their buy to japanese.

I had a chance to run my HHR through its paces on the last trip, and found when I was hard on the brakes they would start to chatter, but when I let them cool they would return to normal. I will probably look into upgrading the front brakes sometime soon.

I too, with approx. 7700 miles on the HHR am noticing the pulsing of the brake pedal and steering wheel vibration when applying the brakes. I get it mostly when coming down off an incline (mountain). Seems to be OK on level ground.

Come on GM, you've got to know you have a PROBLEM here!!!!

My rotors were turned at 15,000 kms (9300 miles) due to vibration and now I have pedal vibration again.

It's going in tomorrow for numerous issues, including the rotors.

It will be interesting to see if GM will do anything with it under warranty this time due to the mileage on the vehicle.

Get used to it. GM just doesn't know how to make brakes. Period.
(That's one thing Ford does right).

I have 30,000 on mine. They were turned at 20,000 or so, and need it again. I just end up buying new ones.

This time around my rotors are fine...it's the pads that are shot.
