Break problem

Tonight I was driving home and saw my exit it was raining and wet could of been the problem but I hit the breaks a little hard they worked then grind then worked missed exit and had to turn at next light but has never happened and tries to repeat the problem and couldnt

Maybe the ABS ????

Sounds like, with the rain and "hitting the brakes hard, you may have had a little wheel slippage....thus the ABS kicked in.

Yea just had oil change today all fluids topped off and put my exhaust on that don't fit
