Good afternoon administrator can u please help me see a diagram for the camshaft position sensors for the HHR SS I don't know the location and can't find the diagram for it. Thank you

 

Usually when someone asks about camshaft position sensors, they are dealing with a P0010/11/13/14. Here is the sticky thread that deals with those codes https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...13-14-a-28779/

It is extremely rare to have a problem with the position sensors.

Also possible that you are seeing codes related to the timing chain. Please post whatever codes you have, we'll be happy to help!

 

I have these two codes one for camshaft position sensor and one for evap I changed the evap one alreadyP0446
P0335

Crankshaft position sensor, not camshaft.

 

What code are you dealing with? About 95% of the time, owners and even mechanics misinterpret codes with the word sensor in them and assume they have a sensor problem when it’s far more likely to be solenoid valves or [shudder] the timing chain.

Also, an embarrassing number of owners say sensor when they are really talking about the VVT solenoid valves.

If you really want to find the sensors, they’re on the front and back of the head at the height of the camshafts, on the driver end.

The VVT solenoid valves are on top of the valve cover, staring at you cozy together in the middle on the passenger end, when you take the airbox off.

code P0446 could mean one or more of the following has happened:
1: Faulty vent valve Open,

2: short or excessive resistance on Vent valve control circuit

3: Blockage of vent valve

Things to try

1: Replace Vent valve

2: Repair open, short, or resistance problem in control circuit

3: Repair open, or short, or resistance problem in power circuit

P0335 "check engine light" code could be caused by:

1: Damaged CKP sensor connector

2: Damaged reluctor ring (missing teeth or not turning due to sheared-off keyway)

3: Sensor output open

4: Sensor output shorted to ground

5: Sensor output shorted to voltage

6: Failed crank sensor

7: Broken timing chain

the crankshaft position sensor, it's a 20 minute job.

 

 

And then you need a computer, like a Tech2 or GDM to relearn the variation or you might experience poor performance. The CKP variation can change between old and new sensors.

 

I did. But I only got to the second one somehow. Oops!

Oh well. I’m sure my rant will come in handy in the future. Again and again.

Coincidentally, I found a P0010 on my 2011 LS this morning.
