Can I get warrenty work at any GM dealer?

I found any GM dealership will honor warranty work. But you or a service advisor/manger may need to call Chevrolet depending on the repair to get approval. I have had a few things done at other GM brand dealers under warranty, But it really depends on the repair I am think.

My personal experience lately with inside the shop personnel is pretty dismal.

I think it really depends on the type of work you would be needing. For example, and with a simplistic reference; oil changes, tune ups, brakes, etc. (those mechanical issues/repairs that may extend across other brands, who have the same drivetrain, etc., in the manufacturers line-up), I don't think I would worry about the repair......and frankly, I haven't. Many times, while on trips, I would stop at the CLOSEST GM dealer to have a routine repair made/done (course, this is before I owned vehicles that need very little maintenance/repair to keep them on the road ).
Probably some exceptions to this. But if you have little in the way of Chevrolet dealers, within a acceptable distance, then another GM dealer could be an option.....at least once, to gage the performance.

The Service Adviser toldl me "it's not my job" to read TSB's. So, I try to steer them in the correct direction by using the exact words from the TSB symptoms, turns out it isn't the tech's job either! Finally the Service Manager got involved because he heard me making a scene, 5 minutes later re-programming was done I was gone.
In my area the "Factory Trained" Technicians at any place, not just car dealers, are a bunch of high school shop trained guys. And I have not found any that actually know specific makes and model only "Haynes" manual generics. Like I said though, it's not just the dealerships here, it takes 3 weeks longer to build a house here than 30 minutes up the road near the Beltway..
OOPs, I started to flame. Sorry.

My apologies, ChevyMgr. You guys had taken care of the OP's question that I didn't feel I could more value to the thread. Warranty work can be done at any Chevrolet dealership.
