can anyone tell me ??????

If I can find anyone that will sell me the bearing alone instead of the entire hub , how hard is it to replace the bearing myself and what tool will I need ??? A bearing separator ? A bearing press ? Both ? Niether ?
Thanks in advance for any info.
My warrantee is up ( over 150,000) , and I allways try to do all my own mech work whenever possible.

If memory serves me right, the hub bearings aren't serviceable, you'd really have a difficult time in pressing the old ones out and getting the new ones in with the same tolerances as the OEM specs call for. The best solution both economically and from a durability standpoint is to replace the assembly as a unit, seems wasteful I know, but that's how you'll make out best in the long run.

I have changed the bearings in the hubs before.(not on a hhr ) It takes exta down time Because you need to take the bearing apart and read the numbers off of the bearing and seals then order those part numbers. I have ordered them from local napa store. The ones I have done had timken bearings in them. I have not done one with abs so Im not sure how much harder that would make it. I would use a press for installing the bearings. Im not sure I would recommend going this route without a press and some bearing pressing skills
