you can't extend the time per-say. You can run it for 10 minutes, and at some point within that time hit it again and it will extend whatever time you had left by 10 minutes more (ie you have it run for 5 minutes the first time, then hit it again, you will get 15 total). You could also click it, let it run for 10, it shuts off, you click it again, 10 more, and that's it. You can only do it twice by remote until it needs the key.

And yes, it also has a shutoff with the hood release, can't do that either.

I didn't know about the brake though, i have always had after market ones so it's stuck in my head, when you get in the car don't hit the brake...

Also, i posted this before. If you have the car remote started and you twist the key all the way you're not going to get that grinding noise. It just doesn't do it. With after market systems you will, but they took care of it in ours. Love that part.
