Car surges

Now i have to chime in. I have an 08 panel 2.2 with automatic trans and i have a similar problem. Best way i can describe it is if i have pulled in my driveway and want to creap up a little closer to the car in front of me and just feather the throttle a bit i have to be quick to the brake because it surges forward with more throttle than im giving it and seconds longer than my touch on the throttle

No, that is not a similar problem. This thread is about a problem with the manual transmission in the SS 2.0 turbo. You would be better served by starting a new thread in the appropriate forum.

Moved to it’s own thread.

So , the car surges , please advise what , if anything have you done to investigate or resolve this.
Have you cleaned the throttle body?
Have you cleaned the MAF sensor?
Have you inspected the wire harness connections at the the MAF , Throttle body, TCM , ground wires, Throttle pedal?
is the CEL in , are there any codes stored?

Sorry , but you didn’t explain that you have attempted any remedies.
and so that is why I asked questions.
now this is an obvious possibility you have already , but did you try a battery lobotomy?
When you cleaned the throttle body did you move the butterfly plate manually?
how old is the car battery?
