good point donbrew. i did change the air filter last service but don't remember if i was having this problem before that. i think i was because remote start didn't work last winter either. i'll have to check on that. light came back on today on the way home from work. i scanned it as soon as i got home and the only code i had was po496. 843 put a lot of work into this. still trying to comprehend all that info. got my work cut out for me. thanks guys!

Make sure a Chevy dealer doesn't rip you off like they did to me...cleaned the fuel injectors and the check engine light came back on 2 days later...on my way back to NY from Fla..yup it was a Fla dealer.....the light eventually went off several weeks later after I ignored it, lol

that sux surfer. A lot of times out of towners will be taken advantage of. i'm surprised it was a dealership though. maybe they just got it wrong.
