Check Engine Light, OBII Port not reading and a partridge in a pear tree!!

Update!!
Ok..I replaced the fuse and thankfully, it didn't blow again. I was able to get it read and here are the codes:
P2122: Accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor 1 circuit low voltage. Less than .25 volts for less than 1 second .
P0030: (Oxygen Sensor) heater condition-check repair resource for sensor location identification. Failure in the circuit.
P0053: (Oxygen Sensor) same as above.
Dear God!!
Any direction on this would be greatly appreciated. BTW, thanks to everyone for their input. Also, I'll patrol the threads to find some further information but please do not hesitate to leave me your input.

I then removed the lighter, & tested again & NO light.. Proving the lighter element was the culprit..

I tested my fuse #29 location with a simple test probe. If you put the probe in one terminal of that fuse location & the other end in the other terminal & it lights, there is a short.

I'll try that but for now, I have to deal with these darn codes... I don't even know where to begin

Then if the CEL re occurs read the codes again.
Sounds to me like you may have one of those elusive electrical problems. Physically trace out every wire checking for breaks chaffs or bad contacts. Had any thing been done under the hood just before the problem started? Check the head end of the main wiring harness where it it connects to the ECM, in front of the fuse box under the Darth Vader hood.

First thing I would do is disconnect the battery for 10 minutes to clear the codes. You can just pull the big fuse at the battery, it looks like it attached to the negative cable (it is not).
Then if the CEL re occurs read the codes again.

You read my mind. I had disconnected the battery when I was at AutoZone. I remember someone on the thread saying something about it. When we retested, we still got the same codes (unbelieveably enough). If it is a wiring problem, where would I start?
