Check engine and t/c lights
My friend gave me his dads 07 hhr. Drove great first two days i had it. Has 77,000 miles and now i get the T/c light on intermittently. Check engine on permanently. I was given codes P0013, P0014, P0301, P0014 pd? Any ideas on what to do? Don't have money to send to the dealership service department?

Welcome.
I'd tackle the p0013/14 codes first which are related to the Exhaust Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid - it's a pretty easy fix if you have a few tools. The part is probably in the range of $50 depending on where you get it from. The latest GM part number is 12655421.
Here is a link to a How-to article on replacing it - https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...13-14-a-28779/
For the p0301 (engine misfire cylinder #1) - it might be time for new spark plugs - always use AC DELCO p/n 41-103 (assuming it is a 2.2 or 2.4L engine) - stick with the AC Delco, as they seem to work the best in these engines.
The other thing you can do, while replacing the plugs is swap the coil pack from cylinder 1 to another cylinder to see if the problem moves to the other cylinder. If it is a 2.2 motor, it may not be possible to do that if it isn't equipped with separate coil packs for each cylinder.
To clear your codes you can try removing the NEGATIVE post on the battery under the rear floor for a few minutes (just don't close the rear hatch with the battery disconnected as it will lock and you can't open it without the battery connected - place a towel over the lock just in case you forget).
Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
