Chrome cover over shifter A/T vehicles

I have a bad habit of woofing down Arby's roast beef sandwiches while I'm driving and I had a sesame seed fall into the shifter area. When I went to remove it I found that 3 of the 4 clips that hold it down had not been pressed down enough to secure the chrome piece.

Just a little minor thing, but I had driven the car for well over a month and did not notice it was not properly secured. I just pressed on all 4 sides and it's now tightly in place.

Fred, I'm more concerned about your cholesterol intake with those Arby's roast beef sandwiches!

Just sayin'.

What's worse is that I buy the 5 for $7.95 specials, but lately I've had coupons to do 5 for $5 deals........

BTW: I received a stern lecture from my Doc on Monday about my cholesterol.... Having survived a stroke, heart attack and currently having 3 stents in my arteries, I should really behave.......

Behave? If you can't enjoy eating good food, why be alive?

Makes me miss the days when it was always 5 for $5.

Hi Fred, My '09 was exactly the same way. Every once in a while I press it down just to make sure now. I get a few tiny plastic "pops" now and again from the console and shifter area, so one day I'll pull all of that apart, Armor-Alol, and pad things and see if it all quiets down. I hate rattles. God Bless, Marc
