You can get them in BlueTooth, RF or USB interface to your smartphone. Then get the Torque app for Android, either the free or paid version. I don't know about iPhone apps.

luckily my state doesn't have the emissions b.s. as far as ebay, i buy from ebay but not stuff from china anymore as nothing ive bought from china on ebay has ever been delivered, luckily ebay refunded me. and for walmart ive had nothing but bad luck from non walmart sellers on their site. i ordered a scanner once from one on there and it never arrived and walmart refunded. walmart themsleves have this one in stock in store the site says and sell it themselves on the site. would it be good? i don't mind spending $20 on it. better then $60 for the other one i linked. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-Tou...gE5zT_KOkiNWKE

Many people here have them, I don't know why you have NEVER received products ordered from China. I have never been disappointed by China.

If you go through the listings you should find some from the USA, Amazon also has them shiped from USA. There is a failure rate, I had to get one replaced (no charge, keep the old one).

My point was those people you were considering sell you a $2 item and open source program for $49.99. Sounds like a bad deal to me.
