Code P0326 and oil change
#11
Just throwing my 2 cents in....so many people read these trouble codes and assume parts are bad...the light came on to tell you there was a misfire, probably pre ignition knock... The trouble codes are designed to lead you in the right direction, not tell you a part is bad...
hopefully this helps

Really? I have 5 GM vehicles 3 Trucks, 1 blazer and the HHr and 3 with 250,000 + miles on them and used Mobil 1 HIgh Mileage version in a couple of them with no problems. I have a 91 pickup with 568,000 miles (yes original engine) that I started using Synthetic oil on at 50,000 miles and have used the High Mileage version in that engine as well. No Zinc levels or issues with 02 sensors in that truck. I have an oil analysis done by an independent lab every 3rd oil change (always change at 5K) and the highest the zinc levels have been are in the 800-810 range where universal averages are in the 810-850 range.
Not doubting what you are saying, just giving my experience. If you have a report or white paper to back this up I'd love to read it.
Thanks,

Thanks,
i don't think you have to look very far to find warnings about poisoning catalytic convertors.
Mine is mostly from personal experience, I did not poison my cat, but the #2 O2 sensor did get fouled when I had a stuck oil control ring. I was not using "high Mileage oil" at the time, but hours on Google got the point into my head.

The very last phrase of my post is the key: "IF YOU ARE BURNING OIL".
