code P1035 ??? 2006-2.4-auto
I've noticed a slight vibration on my 2006, 2.4 auto HHR when on the highway for a few months. The shake would go away after a few miles. Nothing around town at lower speeds. I did not have a Check engine light. I had the tires reballanced and found one out.
The car has 100k miles, Did a tune up and oil chnge two weeks before the tire ballance. Plugs looked good, oil was still clean. Always use Mobil 1.
Today the car threw a Check Engine Light - The Foxwell NT301 gave a P1035 code.
The scanned says no info on code. The internet search shows a number of things for the code. Even the Haynes Manual does not list the code.
Did anyone have this code.
Thanks

I would go with the ambient air temp sensor or a wire to the crankshaft sensor.
Is the ambient air temp working? Maybe they actually mean the IntakeAirTemp sensor that is part of the MAF; forgot to reconnect after the plugs or air filter change, maybe bad connections?
Check for broken/frayed wires in the harness at the Purge valve bracket.
Boils down to something getting the injectors and spark out of kilter.

I suggest that you get the codes pulled by a different reader. That is not a code that HHR should get.

To answer your question, no. A site search for p1035 produced no results. A search on the internet shows that it relates to a variable valve system that HHR does not use.

But, it is a Chevrolet code. The 1 means that the particular code is defined by the manufacturer, in this case GM.
In my copy of Mitchell OnDemand there are codes missing in some years that should not be missing.

I did a Tune up = changed the plugs, Oil and filter and Air Filter. It was due. I'm at 100k miles.
Auto Zine said I need an ECM, no it's fine. Napa said it's an Oxygen Sensor. Code P0030v - Ho2S Heater control Circut Bank !, Sensor 1
I ordered the sensors from Rock Auto NTK. The upstrean is original and the lower has 65K miles.
I got another reading at another Auto Zone - P0135 - H02s - Heater Control Circut bank i sensor 1.
The tire that vibrated was the right rear. It was out, likely from the potholes and a stick on weight getting thrown?
Finally got my $19 harbor freight code reader returned - it shows Sensor 1, Bank 1
They should be here monday.
Thanks , no I havent retested the "New Better Code Reader" . The Foxwell has auto code look up and plugs into the Lap Top. Maybe If I'm feeling better - going through medical issues and treatments. Thinking of sending it back.

ECM is rarely the problem
