Codes and Problems
P0442
P0455
P0128
Check engine light has been on for a while. I need to figure out from above codes what the problem is. For the longest I would have problems getting the car to start after getting gas. Got to the point where I had to leave it running to get gas. Now as soon as I start putting gas into the car it kills the engine. Obviously not a good thing. And at this point I can't get gas without having to contiguously give it gas to keep it running. Other than when getting gas I have no problems with it starting or running the right way. I have already replaced the gas cap, and sensor on the backside of the tank. Any and all help would be appreciated.

P0442 and P0455 relate to an evap leak check the hoses at tank and the under hood sensor
P0128 relates to your T-stat has failed replace the T-stat
I entered the codes into a Google search and found several you tube videos how to trace and repair these issues , I would also suggest after you find the problem or while you replace your T-stat disconnect the neg terminal at the battery for 30 minutes to reset the computer

Do you have any idea what sensor it is under the hood? I am most concerned at the moment about that due to not being able to get gas. I don't see where my thermostat would be the problem for me to get gas. And at the rate it is getting worse it leads me to believe it is a sensor.
Thank you for your help. It is greatly appreciated.

The P0128 code is telling you the engine is not warming up fast enough. And that is generally caused by a coolant thermostat that is jammed OPEN. This is a common problem and been discussed many many times here before, so I won't go into a full reiteration of the cause/symptoms - you can use the SEARCH tool to find more info, including the documentation on how to replace the thermostat.

Whopper- Thank you very much! Once I get the gas issue resolved I will look more into that! The thermostat one is a new code that came up this time! And thank you for letting me know why the thermostat code comes up. Very much appreciated.

The thermostat someone somewhere on here said it was best to get it from GM. Does anyone know how you can tell the newer one from the older one? GM wants $73 for the thermostat but the parts store only said $20. Any help would be great. Changed the sensor and can now get gas again!

as I have stated many times in many threads in relation to the T-stat go big or spend more in 4 to 6 months, the cheapo $20.00 stat will not preform the same as the computer parameters are, these will set the P0128 code sooner or later.
spend the $73.00 and get the correct GM T-stat it will last longer then the cheaper ones and therefore be less expensive.
I also recommend while you have the rad drained change the Dexcool with Dexcool I have used Prestone premixed Dexcool had no issues now since changed back in 2012. I could have purchased 100% Dexcool and mixed it with distilled water but didn't have the time then, but this will work also.
