Coolant leak @ rear of engine, new HHR
#23
I always wind up calling "just" before they call me. Doesn't matter what time it is. The latest I'll call is about a half hour before they close (if I think they might need to keep it.) But it really burns me when I get lip service about "Bring it in and we'll look at it" - then they don't.

I mean, I don`t expect Mrs. B/B to be getting under the Cruck (it`s Her Hot Ride), but it`s a 2.2L and the problem could also pertain to 2.4L motors.

Well, I got the HHR back today. They said they pressure tested it and they could not find anywhere it was leaking.
They did say, however, that they had to add about 12 ounces of coolant to the reservoir bottle to get it to the mark.
They didn't disbelieve me (they did have to add the coolant), they just couldn't get it to leak again. It was one of their GM master techs that checked it.
Guess I'll just keep an eye on it. If it does it again I will photograph the puddle and photograph the white paper towel turned pale pink when sopping it up. It was too watery to be transmission fluid, and wasn't oily like trans fluid.

Ok, what`s the chances, I know this is gonna sound far fetched, but what`s the chances it was condensation off the a/c condensor, and the anti freeze bottle was merely low from normal coolant lose and just needed to be refilled?
Any chance, million to one???

Isn't Dexcool orange? I suppose watered down it may appear pinkish.
