Bad idea! 50/50 Dexcool, and water, weather you buy it premixed or have to mix it yourself, Dexcool only!

Good luck with that, we’ve seen time and time again, other brands of thermostats failing with 3 to 6 months. The problem is they don’t open within the parameters the ECM is looking for. This resulted in a CEL P0128.
I’ve had Stant, Motorad and a store brand, all failed.
I was reluctant to spend the money on the AC Delco 131-158, but no issues since 2012.

X-2

OP seems to want to keep stepping outside the Box.

NAPA is a good company and handles many quality products, but in this case it might be wise to take the advise from Experienced HHR Pro's here.

NAPA should have or be able to get the OEM (AC Delco) one, shouldn't they?
I imagine there would still be an employee discount.

I learned lessons on the LT.
No way I am cheaping out on the SS!

My shop is a NAPA shop. The owner of the shop won't use a NAPA t-stat in these things. Only the AC-Delco.

When Stant or any of the other manufacturers starts using the correct design their t-stats will be worth bragging about.

BTW, the cheap AC/Delco one sucks too.
