Turns out, I tore a hole in my tranny pan and lost majority of the fluid. Knowing the dealership would rip me off on services, I just bought a new pan and gasket and did it myself. It was an easy fix, but only Dextron 6 can be used... which is not sold, ANYWHERE. I had to go to 4 different dealerships before I could find some! How can a service department in a GM/Chevy dealership NOT have the correct fluids?! Well, just thought I'd share the experience. All is good now ($200 later)
I`m realy surprised you could fix it yourself, from my understanding, the Tranny is an unfillable unit. Was told by another site member, veh. had to go to dealer just to be filled after new pan was installed at repair shop.

nope, it was an easy fix, took the pan and gasket off, drained A LOT of fluid, replaced pan and gasket, but I DID have to go to another dealership out of town to get the Dextron VI tranny fluid, 'cause there was non in town. But I filled it just fine and its running great now. Took 9 qts. The only problem I ran into with filling is that there is NO tranny fluid dipstick to check the level, so I had to call services to get the correct filling amount.

Cool

Cool, glad you`re back on the road, this veh. is very quirky. No dip stick, elec. power steering, prone to hits in the lower grill. I did notice the PT comes with a grill insert in the lower section, not that I want a PT. (Just an observation.)
