DDM HID bi-xenon kit - no high beams
I've had my DDM kit in for almost a year. I remember when we installed it that the high beams weren't coming on, but since I never use them I didn't worry about it. The state of Texas would like me to have them, because they failed my inspection on the basis that I don't have working high beams.
Has anyone else had this specific problem with this specific product? I know I ordered the bi-xenon bulb so unless they didn't send me the right one, that shouldn't be the problem. I checked the fuse when we installed it and first noticed the problem, and it was fine then. Still fine now. A little bit of googling told me that in some cases the wires are backwards and switching them solves the problem, but that was a different brand, and I don't know if I'd be able to even do that since I have no tools. The lights work fine otherwise, aside from the (as far as I know) common problem of the passenger-side light failing to light on the first try sometimes.
Any ideas? I'd like to avoid having to take the bumper off again if possible, but since that's where the ballasts are mounted, that might not be an option. I feel like I've seen a thread on it somewhere, but if anyone has any input on the passenger light issue too, let me know?

It's been a while since I installed mine. I downloaded the instructions from DDM's web site. I just remember there was a seperate power wire for the high beam function. I think there was also a seperate ground wire.
Again, it's been a while though.

Fixed the problem! It was a problem with the kit itself.
On the driver's side light, the wire plug that connects to the car's headlight plug (where you'd normally put the stock bulb) has three prongs. If you're looking at the smooth side of the plug, from left to right it should go white (low beams), black (ground), red (high beams). We had to pull each of these wires out of the plastic plug and plug them directly into the car's headlight plug. Sealed it up with duct tape and it worked perfectly!
