Dead Battery!
#11
Remember, you're going to see/hear more of the problems than you are of the positive. My only issues have been with the dealer. My HHR has been trouble-free. If you do some additional research (as I did before buying) you'll find that the HHR rates well for quality, reliability and service/maintenance items. The first year (06) was good, the 07 improved upon that, and the 08 improved things once again.
Don't let an issue like a dead battery sour you on the car already. I've had two experiences with new cars that had dead batteries. One was dead because it sat on the lot with the lights on after a test drive, and was left like that for days. The other had a battery with a bad cell that didn't make itself know until it started getting regular use. A battery is an easy fix.
In the meaintime, welcome to the site and enjoy your HHR!

Well I would like to thank all for there advice and support
the dealership General Manager gave my Wife his Tahoe for the day so transportation and loaner was solved to go to work. The battery was changed out and the ride was properly detailed like it should have been.
And we received in addition tire rotation oil changes and inspections for 5 years or 60,000 miles with out asking (free). I guess what really created the problem was that the General manager told the salesman to insure the battery was replaced prior to delivery. The GM told me that he has seen a higher then normal amount of batterys being changed out this spring and summer upon vehicle delivery. I will keep my fingers crossed.
Thank You All
Carl
