dead batterys

Anybody ever find out what is causing these dead batteries, our 09 is starting to have this problem and we have already put one new battery in it. Seems it has a slow drain some place, but I suppose I should take it back to the dealer. After reading all the post on HHR's not sure it was a good buy. But I Like it.

There are thousands of posts-don't let a few ruin it for you. I have an 09 that I bought at the end of Aug 09-have 9000 miles on it now-and have no issues.

My 1st battery lasted 16,000 miles It died on a sunday, so that day i bought a new battery $ 105.00 And monday morning went to the dealer with the dead battery (9 months old) and gave them the reciet for the one i purchased, And 2-3 weeks later a check came in the mail from GM $105.00

Since then no battery issues . 40,300 miles bought it on 5/29/08

Read some of the posts on Lexus, Acura, Cadillac, or virtually any car. They all have problems, and those folks having problems are typically the most vocal. I've had my HHR since it was new in March of 2007, and so far its been very solid. Under warrantee, Chevrolet replaced the instrument cluster, and other than that its only been routine oil changes etc.

I still have my original battery, built 12/05...purchased 5/24/06 and surviving Windsor/Detroit winters outside. It ran 30 miles to work each way 6 days a week for the first 3 years, but now it sits in the driveway 5 days a week. Starting is not a problem.
