it was electrical

They thought it was electrical, the factory rep said to put in a new harrness and he would be down here mid January, the service manger said he woud change it but said he checked it already and he said he knew that was not the problem!!!! He said he really didn't know!!! so i said where does that leave me??? so iask for a meeting with the sales manager and general manager and i told them lets make a deal!!i told them i was force to do this ,so they had this new LT2 that just came ,in RED,so we made a deal i could live with.realy i did pretty good.now i like the more power(even though i have to buy hi-test gas) but its worth it since i omly drive about 7,500 miles a year, plus all the extras it has. This one has all the things i wish i had in the other car.Well thanks for asking......BARBERPOLE

electrical issues

My HHR burned on Tuesday. Does anyone know of problems with wiring that can result in a fire?

A short circuit in wiring that doesn't have a fused path. Very difficult to cause in modern vehicles with post-1991 SAE insulation standards. Where did the fire start?

Fire

It started under the hood when I smelled something burning then white smoke then fire. State Farm investigators were going to examine it This past Friday for a cause.
