Look into ur states lemon law... they didnt respond well to my attempts when I called the customer service center... they always marked my file as "dissatified". As soon as the lemon law papers were mailed to them there whole attitude changed....lol

Oh I know it, as soon as they got notice things changed, but I'm still fighting. And as should anyone else with an issue that doesn't seem to go away after several attempts at repair. Thats why there is a law pertaining to it. :)

Just dont give up.... its been a long process for me... almost 10 months but finally it is coming to an end... I have a arbitration meeting next tuesday... attorney fees and loss of income are the main topics.

so how long did you have your ride before it started freaking out? ive had mine from 4 miles october 7th 2009 to almost 9500 miles as of today.... how long once you make the first claim does the law extend to? i mean i filed for them to take it back, what happens if they havnt figured out whats going on and im over the 12 month 12K mile mark??? Not that I plan on driving it much as I really really dont trust the vehicle, and this problem has completely defeated the purpose as to why i bought it in the first place. Thanks for your support :) I kind of expected it wasnt going to be a quick and easy process, but I do beleive in making a stand against shoddy craftsmanship!

well all my problems started from day one (window) but the major problem with overheating started at 1400 miles. They found coolant in the oil. They replaced the motor and I went on my way. Been having trouble ever since... 9 times it has overheated.... went through 4 heads.... 7 head gaskets .... 4 radiators.... 2 new complete motors.... 4 dealers... and about 100 migrains.... but I can say finally it has been repaired correctly.... the new motor just seems more peppy... I am completly happy with my hhr again, I am even contiplating keeping it and just having GM reimburse me for my trouble, anyways... back to the subject.... As for the claim process... for texas as long as u file it before 24 months after purchase or 24,000 miles following the date of delivery ur okay... once filed it will b on record and continue from there. The process usaully takes about 10 months from start to finish... I ended up hiring a attorney, which GM will have to pay, and the process is so much easier... I would recomend speaking with a attorney ... that way u know all ur options... the meeting should be free.... they usually work on contigincy... if they want money up front find another one. If u hav anymore questions just ask....

some of the best news I've heard this whole ordeal, thanks jmarines!!
i'm speaking with a couple attourneys today, same office, one is warranty, the other is bankruptsy as GM by filing bankruptsy has certain protection clauses or something that limit what can happen to them ~_~

GLAD to hear that your new engine is doing you right finally, you by far are a more patient person that I am! I would have gone ballistic after the first engine was changed and it still overheated.

hope your new engine lasts the way the original one should have :) u have any more pics of your ride?
