Did some maintenance today
Had 3 items to do, oil change, install new downstream O2 and install new timing chain tensioner. Oil change, no issues. TIming chain tensioner, couldn't get enough leverage with 1/2 ratchet to break it lose, so I had to use a breaker bar. Swap went straight forward, but my 1/2 drive torque wrench is too long to torque. SO I've got to pick up a swivel to get it torqued. But it in and tight. Pretty straight forward, but you have to look for it. My oil cap socket fit perfectly.
Now the O2 sensor. The good news is you can get a 7/8 wrench on it with no problem. DOn't need a O2 socket. THe wiring is very long. I finally traced it to the plug, but the exaust was still warm and I could get it replaced. If anyone has replaced the downstream O2 and have a secret to getting to the plug, I'd love to hear it.
So that is still left to be done. Got everything put away to find a flat tire.... SO off to Discount soon, due a rotation anyway.

I could reach my hand around and touch the connector. But the exhaust was a little hot and I stopped there. I think I'll need to get it up on the ramps and let it sit several hours and try again. THey definately didn't put it in a user friendly place.

I'm sure you are aware that adding any extension or swivel to a torque wrench, lowers the amount of actual torque you are trying to apply.. (minimal reduction, but worth noting).

BTW, I actually did re-lock the connectors one handed. If you pull the air filter and move some wiring around, and you are tall enough and skinny enough you can reach it from the top. You do need to "break" (maybe permanently) the connector away from the mount.

Didn't think about trying it from the top. Will have to look into that option.

Point was, (for example) If you torque something to 35 ft lbs & are using an extension, or a swivel on it. You are only really getting an actual torque value of roughly + / - 32 ft lbs. (depending on what is used)...

Yes, I understand. In this case, I'm not sure if an exact 55 ft lbs is actually a necessity.
