Key In Switch

I don't know if this is the place to put this ! If you can't turn key to lock look under the sterring wheel on the bottom side of the cover there is a little square that comes out with a light look up in the hole you will see a little elec.sol. [look to the left] just push it back with your finger or something and you will be able to remove key. will try to post a pic. of the the little take out plug soon

Same here...I always have one set on me no matter where I'm at. One set in my purse and even at car wash, the other set is in my hand or pocket.

i know what your talking about...i found the pic in the owners manual after all was done

And if you have a good key you can program another key.
I bought a spare so I have 3 and programmed the 3rd myself.
Put the good key in the Ign and turn it on, no need to start the engine.
take out the good key and put a key in to program, Turn the key on...
Then start the engine. It should keep running. Then spend the money you save by DIY on a

I know it is hard to do [ read the owners manual ] but there is a lot of info in it.
my wife thinks I am a nut case cause I keep all owners manuals and read them and HI light things in them for later fast look up. not getting down on anyone,just sometimes some of the post here, the anser. is in the book but you have to read it not just keep it in the clove box.

your 94 formula actually has a resistor not a chip.

Whatever it is, new keys are expensive (I think about $35). You can buy a regular key without the chip (or resistor) and it will just open the door and not start the motor. Then, you can hide a real key in the car and carry the other one in your wallet (I cut mine down to make it smaller).
