So long as the sensors are the correct frequency 315 MHz. Then they should be recognized by the car. However , in the 2008 model year the RCDLR has to be reflashed.

Pretty much they couldn't do anything but Schrader. Lol.
Get a money back written guarantee from them. Nothing wrong with Schrader, not even more expensive. And OEM.

The problem is that 2008 was the first year that TPMS was required by law and they glitched the firmware in a way that a power failure cleared the memory of the TPM part of the program. Sometimes it does affect the door locks.

So if I do the reflash will it happen again if I have a low voltage incident?

The reflash with the NEW updated firmware would fix it. If somebody reflashed with the old firmware it would recur. They don't know what they are doing, that's why I advise taking the TSB with you. GM techs will not look for TSBs on their own, and will probably get an attitude if you provide it. GM service guys are way too important to be bothered with official GM advice, especially if it is obtained from the interwebs.

The labor operation number is R4481 and it should cost 0.3 hour labor.

I called the only dealer we have within a 50 mile radius. They quoted around a $100 for the reflash.

Another reason to take the TSB with you is the flat rate and procedure are in it. My local dealer took more than 3 hours of actual hands on to figure it out because they refused to read it, since I got off the interwebs. Doesn't matter that it was from the GM site it was the internet.

$100 is OK if they charge $300/hour.

If you read your Owner Manual you don't have to pay anyone to program a new key. Any GM dealership parts department or locksmith can get you a key cut to your VIN.

We are talking about fobs here, not keys.

We don't allow spam links, yours has been removed.

Went back to dealer again. Same story. Didn't know anything about the TSB. Said if they reflashed and I had a low voltage incident again, then I would have to pay for the reflash again. Wow. Talked with a legal advisor and he seems to think that if GM's firmware/software has a glitch in it, then they are effectively rendering the system disabled, since there is a TSB on the problem and they know about the problem exists. But what you gonna do? Wait for an accident to happen? Geez. May have to travel a little farther to another dealer and see if I get the same story.
