door lock solenoid
I believe that the solenoids for my door locks are dying. The drives side is weak, and sometimes I need to use the key to unlock the door. And today the rear passenger door will not unlock electronically.
Anyone change them here? Wondering what kind of job it is. Thanks

You have to replace the entire lock mechanism. That is fairly expensive.
You might be able to patch in a generic solenoid if you can figure an attachment spot. They are really cheap, I did that on all 4 on my Mazda. I just mounted the solenoid and attached it to the wire rod then spliced into the wiring. That left the original hooked up so the new one is acting like a helper rather than replacement.

It may be sticking. Sometimes I have to press the fob a few times for the lock to fully go down or up Do you think if I spray down the button it will get the linkage, or do I need to pull he door panel off
