Angry door locks

okay, what is it with power door locks. no problem with locking, or remote starting, but unlocking the cotton picking doors! wifey gets pissed while i run around an open door then unlock hers. y`all notice they don`t put key cylinders in pass door for years now.

Sounds like you might have worn contacts in your key fob, at least that's what I'm reading into your post. can you elaborate on the issue a bit more.

Easy enough to check. Open the fob and put something metal accross the contacts on the board. Thats how I found mine bad. You can get the pad insert on Ebay for less than $10.

I wouldn't mind seeing some pics of that if you have some time. Wifey's fob doesn't work and I'm thinking that's it. Had it resoldered and new battery...still nada.

Having problems with my locks on the driver side, both front and rear door. Sometimes they lock, sometimes they don't (using key fob, or when moving in and out of gear). Not a fob issue as everything else works. Guess I'm going to have to pull the door panels and check them from there.

just cut about a 1/8 inch square of aluminum foil and a drop of superglue on the button with a toothpick or something. give it a minute or so to dry and thats it. i did lock/unlock buttons.

After reading this thread I decided to try the foil/super glue fix and wa-la, it works great, no more hitting and hitting the button, just a light touch and the doors open. Thanks to this group for a great idea! gotta love the internet
