First time every using a motor trend for advice so here it goes I've got a 2008 hhr and as of lately the locks will lock on their own when car Is off not rapidly but 2-3 times I've change the battery in my key fob and sometimes when trying to unlock the headlights will indicate it's working but the locks will lock right back up. From what I have researched it maybe something to do with a parking solenoid or sensor not real sure how these parts work but I'm good at fixing a d replacement of problem just need some help figuring out what my problem is please help thank you

Tacking onto the end of a dead, unrelated thread will not serve you very well. Moved from the recall forum to this new thread.
to the forums!
You should have the(vehicle) battery load tested. Your nearest auto parts store will load test your battery for free.
Have the ignition related recalls been performed?

After the car battery is tested and passes. The doors lock when the battery gets down to a certain point.
I would leave the fob at home for a few trips. The keypad may be sticking. If any one sticks for more than 30 seconds the fob will lock itself up until another button is pushed.
Then I would look at the wires in the door conduit and the wires around the dash buttons. Has anyone spliced into wires for any reason?
I don't know what a "parking solenoid or sensor" is.

I wouldn't think so, but the battery is on its way out - so you would be smart to replace it before it leaves you stranded.
My first thought was that the key fob itself might be a problem with the contacts inside being too sensitive and causing the locks to get triggered. I'd take the fob apart and clean the contacts on the board and on the silicone pad with alcohol and see if that helps.
