Driver's Door Center Hinge (Link)
Hi! I own a 2007 LS wtih 57,000 miles on it. I purchased it new. The other day I heard a horrible sound when I opened or closed the driver's door. At first I thought that the door hinges needed to be lubricated. Then, upon further inspection, I discovered the the middle hinge, (Link), was broken. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Cost to repair this at the Chevy dealer is $115.00. $47.00 for the part and the rest for 0.7 hours of labor.

A few folks here have had them break after the door is caught by a wind gust, but its not a common problem. The dealer is not gouging you, its a PITA to change out a broken stop strap/link in the door since you have to remove the inner panel and work inside the door.

Same thing happened to my car, caused by a gust of wind. I will soon look for pricing to have it fixed. Thanks for mentioning the pricing, I can get the part at cost, but I am going to search around for someone to install it. Surprisingly annoying noise.
