Driver's Door Won't Open
Seems as though this is a fairly common issue as there are many threads on this problem.
You can't remove the door trim, but it is possible to open it enough to get at the lock mechanism. The door will not open using the exterior or interior handles. It won't open using the fob. When using the key on the exterior handle, the key won't turn to unlock. The door will move a bit if pulled on. Is it possible that the electric mechanism is preventing unlatching? If so, is it possible to disconnect and open the lock?
Anything short of dismantling the fender/door hinges would help.
Thanks for any input, Rich

In the past, I've experienced the door not unlocking when placed in Park, and just pulled up on the lift knob and it opened. This time it didn't. I'm having some electrical issues in the door with the windows, remote mirror adjustment and the speaker. When I get the door open, I'll have to solve those issues.
I'm going to shoot some WD-40 at it from the outside, as the door will open just a bit. I'm going to try an get a heavier wire in there and see if I can release the lock.
Thanks for the info! Rich

UPDATE: I was finally able to get the inside door panel pried off enough to reach in and get hold of the the lock rod, but it didn't make any difference. Made an appointment with my dealer and had it serviced yesterday. As I had assumed, there were multiple wires broken in the door (don't know why) preventing the lock mechanism from electrically unlocking - it was frozen! The lock mechanism had to be broken to get the door open. After getting it open, the lock mechanism was replaced and all wires repaired. That was a $642 repair. Note to all that may be experiencing your door(s) not functioning all the time using the fob - take the door apart and check for worn/broken wires (or, take it to your dealer) before you get into a situation like I just experienced. 642 dollars!
Guys! Sometimes the cost of your repairs shock me! Difficult for awareness, I just can’t get used to it.
I wish I could find a remote job in the USA, get american salary, but spend it at home :

Geg,
Not everyone here in America wants to, or cares to, learn how to repair things so they pay the piper,
I was taught by my father that if you can't repair it you can't drive it and he taught me how,
This began when I learned how to ride a bicycle.
Since then I made it a priority to learn and not be caught off guard.

Thank you for that update Rich! pricey but repaired.
geg, some people either don’t have the skills or experience or maybe facilities, tools and equipment to repair things themselves.
Lonwane, awesome teachings from your father, very cool.
Some of us , just aren’t in good enough health to work on our rides any longer
