dry start

About once a week when I start the car it seems that that top end of the motor (cams) are dry. it make the noise for about 2 or 3 sec then stops. 86000 mile oil change at 5000 mile intervals.

Some on this site have mistaken that noise as a "dry start" noise. Then it actually was found to be an odd serpentine belt/tensioner clattering noise.
Double check where the noise is coming from, just to be sure.

Check the TSB's, I seem to remember something about upper engine noise.
