EBC Rotors and Pads. Any opinions?
My local parts store has EBC rotors and pads (Green & Red).
Is anyone here using them? What do you think? What pads work best?
I've looked at R1, but I don't want to do mail order.

EBC pads are worth the money. THey wear well and low dust compared to the factory pads.
I have tried the rotors they are fine but add nothing to improve performance. THe dimples and slots are for looks only. If you have open wheels they will look cool but if you can't see them save the money for stock rotors. Any good brake company says the same on their web sites. Holes in the past were to cut unsprung weight and to release gas but with todays improved pads it is no longer an issue. Some folks hold to the past but the truth is the Less metal in the rotor the less of a heat sink it is. The more heat it can absorb from the pads the better. You drill holes or dimple it it make for less steel.
Also you can and will get a little noise from the dimples. Nothing bad but more than the stock rotor.
Green is great for the street. If your hard on brakes go Red. Red is less dust yet.
As for Mail order save money and be not affraid. Just watch for set handling charges and either free or low shipping cost. Some places will give you a low price and jab you with a high handling or shipping charge. You should only pay the price of the part and around $12 Shipping and handling to get a good price.
