Electric Door Locks

I have a 2007 HHR, and just found this website ... great!

I am having a problem with my electric door lock (driver side only). Intermittanly, it will not open with either the fob or the door switch. Sometimes I can pull the knob up while simultaneously engaging the electric switch (either the fob or the door switch). Other times I cannot budge it at all. When it does not open electronically, it will also not open by simply using the key.

Climbing into the drivers seat from the passenger side is getting old! Any suggestion on the problem and solution?

Thanks,
Joe

Possible that the hole for the door lock needs to be widened a bit.

What jx3 said is referred to in post # 96 in this thread https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...r+lock&page=10 but it said it is for 09's. Others, even my 08 had a rear door that had that problem

Electric Door Lock

Kewatin,

Thanks for the response on the TSB ... but what is that, and where would I find it?

PS ... I'm new to this forum, and sadly, not much of a forum person (yet)!

Thanks,
Joe
