I have a couple of issues on my 2007 unit that hopefully someone has an answer for.
#1 Every now and again when I turn the key to start the engine nothing happens. You would think the battery was dead. In most cases if I take the key out and turn it 180 degress and put it back in it will start. There has been the odd time when this did not make any difference and after trying for a number of time it starts. Of coarse it never acts up at the dealership.
#2 Every once in a while the digital numbers on the dash for outside temperature and mileage do not light up as well as the ligts on the radio. There is not set pattern it only happens now and again.
Any help on these two problems would be appreciated.

 

If it happens again,try this:With key held completly in the start position,try to gently wiggle the ignition key:up-down,back-forth without releasing tension. If this works and it starts,you could be in need of new ignition switch.

 

Next time the lights dim manually turn off the headlights....the dash lights will dim if headlights come on during daylight but radio will not..if lights come back bright then all is normal....Ive seen days in the sun that the headlights will come on....
