Engine block heater electrical plug

The plug part of my block heater cord broke off. Can it be replaced or do I have to get a whole new block heater? 08 HHR

No, just the replacement cord. The plug has a built in thermostat..
Hope this helps.

There is a thin spring type washer (which can be turned to release) on the cord that is secured on the threads of the block heater. (It can be seen from underneath.)
Then just pull the plug off the heater.

Location of engine block heater 2008 HHR

Lost the cord. Got a new one but we cannot locate the heater to plug in the new cord. Any help or diagram would be appreciated. Thank you

Question Location of block heater

Admittedly not car smart. Googled location of block heater. Located pictures. Still dont quite understand where it is. Is it on the side of the block? Assumably we have to remove the air filter thingy... Sorry. Just trying to find to attach the cord
