Error Code P0135
Hey guys, new to the forum, but I've been lurking around for a while now. Lots of useful information, so thank you for that! Anyway, I have been having some odd check engine lights lately, but they come and go. The power steering and air bag system will intermittently report an issue on the DIC. There is a TSB about one of the wiring harnesses having loose or partly broken connections that this could be the result of. Any insights on the matter? Also, just used my CarMD and got an error code P0135. I'll quote what CarMD says on this error.
"This fault code indicates the Oxygen Sensor Heater Monitor has detected that the Oxygen Sensor (O2S) (Bank 1, Sensor 1) heater resistance was not within specified limits after a predetermined period of operation. The O2S is the principal sensor in the fuel mixture feedback control loop. The vehicle’s computer uses the signal from the O2S to adjust fuel delivery to compensate for “lean” or “rich” fuel mixture conditions. The O2S must reach an operating temperature of approximately 600 degrees F for proper operation. The O2S heater is an electric heating element that aids in warming the O2S to the correct operating temperature more quickly. The heater control circuit controls operation of the O2S heating element."
The only thing I've done as of late is change the spark plugs and air filter. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Check fuse 33 under the hood to verify it is not blown and test that you have voltage there. If you have tested the circuit from the sensor to the ecm and there is not a short to voltage or a short to ground, then you need a new o2 sensor.

I looked again real hard, and I don't see any other codes mentioned.

Sorry, I don't have any further codes at this time. It's just random information on the DIC and random check engine lights. Normally the DIC will state a problem with the power steering and airbag system when this occurs.
