I'm wondering if you used the correct platinum spark plugs and if you tried to set the gap on them.
Not using the correct sparkplugs or trying to set the gap on the plugs can mess things up real fast.
Using a wire gap gauge can scrape the platinum off the electrode which causes problems.
Seems silly to have such proprietary spark plugs but I guess that's how it goes when you have an ecotec engine
