Everything's going crazy

Bought my daughter a gently used HHR LT, 2007. She stated last night while leaving a restaurant the car just died. She says she tried to crank it back up and everything just started clicking. Dash lights blinking, door locks everything. Anybody ever have this. I'm thinking an electrical issue obviously but if you guys know of a starting point. Any help would be greatly appreciated and Happy New Year to all...

to the forums!

Sounds like a dead battery.

Also, have the ignition related recalls been performed?

Ok, then dead battery, anything under 12.4 volts is a dead battery to these trucklets. Make sure you get a correct sized battery

Your local auto parts store should perform a free battery load test and charging system test. But the battery has to have some charge to it to test the charging system, and the vehicle has to run. So if you have access to a battery charger, charge it before you head over there.
