First dealing with service dept.
Hello all. My wife and i bought a 2010 hhr on tuesday. The salesman gave us 1 key, thats all,no remote nothing. We asked about the remote and they called the lady that traded it in about it.She brought another key and stated i didn't get the remotes when i bought it new.I found the window sticker from the factory and it was on there and it was set up in the dic and the code was in the glovebox for remote start. So i called the 2 chevy dealers in town. 89.00 for the remote 50.00 to program it x 2. 280.00.I got the part number and bought 2 on ebay for 25 each. The wife carried them to chevyland in shreveport and said they didn't work.He programed them and IT WAS FREE ,he said it was covered under the 3 year 36k warranty.Im a happy camper i'm out 50 .00 instead of 280.00 So far im likin my HHR.
