Well, it happened. I've had my first problem that required me to take the HHR in to the dealership. Not bad, really. I've had it 9 months and have 19,000 miles on it. So, what was the major problem that made me take it in? The fuel door release broke. Well, not broke exactly ... the clips that hold it in place apparently broke and it was no longer held in position. It wouldn't "pop" open when pressed. The part's on order, so will have to take it back in to have it replaced in 3 days.

Not bad, huh? Pretty minor. I hope this is the extent of my problems! And it looked better-than-new when I took it in this morning ... Spent the entire day Saturday washing, drying, clay bar, washing again, drying again, then waxing and detailing.

 

Actually, I think you should look at the Lemon Law or DEMAND a buy back or a trade UP for a newer and better model!!!!















Really.....I'm glad you are experiencing the better part of GM.

 

Isnt that the part that they said they opened and closed like 50,000 times in preproduction testing? lol

Nine months and 18000 miles! At that rate your warranty will up by July of next year. That's alot of driving. Hope your enjoying it.

I wont be far behind you. I am averaging 500 miles a week myself.

That's why we bought them. To drive!

 

Yup. This is pretty standard mileage for me. As for the warranty, I extended mine (bumper-to-bumper, GM) for 10 years, 100,000 miles. It was a bit expensive, but I have had past experiences that made me wish I had done this. I feel good about having this warranty. Wish I'd had it on my last two vehicles.

 

I broke that part on my car as well, apparently one is required to remove a gas nozzle from your car when you pull away from a pump. who knew? that nozzle shot out of the side of my car like a rocket.. i saw that it was still in in my mirror just as it launched out. did not damage the pump, but broke that little springy thing all to heck i cant go to that gas station anymore, they still laugh at me! but i dont blame them....hehe

 

I'm doing 500 - 600 miles a week myself in my commute to / from work and weekend chores. I figured I'll drive it for 3 or 4 years and then get a new one - not sure what I' get so I'll just decide then.
