Flex joint on downpipe

2 shops say they have the flex joint in stock. Gonna go see if they do. They do have to have the car on site.

They likely need the car there, so that once they remove the pipe and cut the flange off, they need to reassemble it and tack weld the new flange and flex joint on to ensure it all lines up. They then have to remove the pipe and complete the welding, then do a final reassembly. It should work out fine. Let us know how it goes.

That was my guys worry, getting it exactly right. But it was much easier and cheaper and faster for me to remove the pipe in my own garage and take it to him and trust him. He only missed the marks by about 2 degrees, and the rubber hanger could handle it.
