I just got a 2011 and the visor was flopping all the time. To fix it I drilled three evenly spaced holes about 1 inch from the rod edge of the visor and inserted #8 stainless screws and nuts with washers. Kept tightening them until the visor stayed up. It's been several days now and it hasn't flopped down yet and is easy to pull down.

See my post, #12, in this thread. Basically the same thing.

Floppy visors

Yes, I saw that post. First I tried putting the visor in a vice with blocks to squeeze around the rod but that did not work. While it was tight in the vice things were fine but would loosed as soon as the vice was loosened. This led to the only way to keep pressure on the rod was to use nuts and bolts for a permanent squeeze. Using stainless button heads makes the fix look best. Supprised how much I had to tighten them in order to "stop the flop". Post 12 was two years ago and third person, thought I would update.

Many years ago, had a 49 Plymouth that had the same problem. Seems like in 60 years there should be some design improvements.

That's what they invented 2 inch binder clips for!

Sunvisor fix ...

After replacing the driver's visor and seeing the problem return, I decided to forego use of the visors altogether. Here is what I did to resolve the problem: There are screws that hold the visor in place. Make a small hole in the visor itself and use a slightly longer screw to replace the old one. It will hold the visor in place forever, but you will not have the use of the visors.

I am having the same problem with my visors. When I look in the GM Parts websites, I see a part called a "Sunvisor retainer clip W/SUNROOF" part #15854552. Does anyone have these in their vehicle? Was it stock or did you install it afterwards? The picture of it in the parts diagram isn't very detailed, so I'm not sure where it is/goes.

Maybe ChevyMgr can identify it.

Posting a link to what you are looking at would solicit more responses, as most people won't be interested in doing a search for whatever it is you were looking at.

and ChevyMgr hasn't been here for a few years.

Pretty sure that's the clip that holds the sunroof visor.
