f.o.b. is the keyless remote the battery is getting low in it. as for the brakes that would not be related to the f.o.b.

You may get more assistance if you provide more info on her car. What year and model...is it an SS? How many miles? Is it still under warranty? You said it didn't happen until you got it running...does that mean you replaced the car battery itself...because the car will still run if the key fob battery is still dead.

In order for people to help or provide some insight, they will need more information. BTW...the key fob issue is discussed in the owners manual...but many people never read it until there is a problem. My fob battery died before the car was a year old...so I used the other fob to open the car and drove to batteries plus and got a replacement. You can still unlock the car with the key the old fashioned way, you'll just get an alarm until you put key in ignition and turn on if you locked it with the fob.

As for the brake issue...it could be purely coincidence, which I'm sure is the case. However, if the car is still under warranty, I'd be headed there as soon as they open.

Brakes gabbing could be simply rust that formed while vheicle was sitting and will clear as you brake, the fobs and keys have given me issues, a lock icon will appear when you try to start the vehicle meaning the key needs reprogrammed, the fob batteries and the battery holders suck...

thats crazy, cuz the car only sat for less than 24 hours before it ran again, and ive never,NEVER had a problem with rust on MY brakes on my own car,and ive been through performance rotors, and stock rotors, and whatnot, but she drove it for atleast 20-25 miles last night, and its STILL doing this! i checked the rotors, pads, fluid level, lines eveything i could think of,its all fine.
and no,the lock icon DOES shut off after a moment.
and again, the car WASNT jacked off the ground,or towed anywhere while the battery was dead.
and wtf is up with a vac line on the battery? thats a first for me!!!
