Front right turn signal not working
Hey everyone!
So I drive a 2006 HHR. The front right turn signal went out a little bit ago and I replaced it with this LED bulb just because the store didn't have any regular ones.
When replacing the bulb I discovered the previous bulb had not only shattered, but somehow melted the plastic around where it sits? It took some work but I cleaned all that out and popped in the new LED bulb. It worked! But after only a few months it went out again. Today I tried replacing it with the other LED and found it still won't work.
I know this is a bit of a mess and I might be better off just taking it in somewhere. But I'm hoping that I can still fix it myself, so do y'all have any suggestions or ideas as to what the issue may be? My next move was going to be to get some normal bulbs and see if those work alright instead. Otherwise I was searching around it seems like there's no fuse that would apply here and that's about where my skillsets end.
Appreciate any suggestions!

2006 models use the turn signa/parking lights for DRL. From the factory the bulb is a lower wattage bulb than the general replacement. This causes the bulb to be too hot and it melts the plastic around it.
Chances are that the socket or wires are melted. A new socket is available.

They probably have these at your local parts palace, if not order from RockAuto, don’t forget the discount code!
