I went out to my car at lunchtime today and lowered the windows part way down. They worked. When they worked I noticed frost on the part of the window that had gone down into the door..That indicates to me that the freezing/sticking problem originates in the doors, not the upper section of the window run channel. My guess is that moisture is getting into the doors at the outer window seal strip and is freezing there or travelling further down and binding up the window regulator.

Seal strips are intended to keep debris and dust out and to reduce the amount of water coming inside the door. Water will always intrude and that is why window motors have plastic covers to protect them and doors have drain holes in the bottom of them.

You must have missed the "flatulence TSB"!!

The one that dealt it doesn't necessary want to be the one that smelt it, thus the window must go down.

I tried the credit card this morning. I went all of the way around until the card hit the bottom of the weather stripping channel on the sides and top. On the bottom I put the card half way down behind the weather stripping. Still would't roll down. It is very frustrating.

Try a "swiping motion" back and forth, my car was covered in ice this am and it worked fine!

All my windows were frozen the other day. Granted it was snowing and 14 degrees out. I think they might be frozen today too. 30 and snowing... I don't want to check though, it's to cold.

I have lived in Indy all my life so I have been through frozen windows before. This window (Drivers side) freezes every time it gets cold. This morning I broke it loose no more moisture after that and couple hours later Frozen shut again?? I have never seen anything like it before. I tried the credit card thing and it went around the window very well and it didn't feel like it was frozen but still wouldn't open. If it ever gets warm again I'm sure it will work fine. Also I don't smoke but I do like the drive-thru and the atm.
