Fuel Filter Location

If you are cash strapped a couple of stainless hose clamps and a section of flexible alcohol resistant fuel line or a brass compression pipe splice will work.
If it is just odor of gas most likely the vapor line if also a drip the fuel line. If one rusted the other is not far from it. Either can cause seemingly unrelated codes; like P0171/ P0172 etc.

It’s mostly on my mind because of a recent drop in MPG. My mechanic previously mentioned that the most common cause of the mpg drop is a clogged or dirty fuel filter. However, now knowing this is a sock type, that likely isn’t the cause of this issue. I’m in the process of tracking down whether it’s mechanical or digital issues. Simply because I’ve noticed other issues that could be related, if it’s a computer fault.
I’ll post on that appropriately in the correct area, once I find a thread for it. 🤙

I never heard that one. Every time I have experienced a dramatic drop in MPG I needed new spark plugs. ACDelco 41-103 ONLY.
Maybe a dragging brake or bad hub.
Any "computer fault" or Sensor problem would cause a code. You are listening to people that think computers are trying to take over.
