Fuse question

Can ya'll tell me what fuses are linked to the driver information center? I have for example oil life , but then just dashes, same goes for all off those entries. I also have no speedometer, but have tachometer, temp gauge, fuel gage.

Thanks! hollym

Did the car ever work correctly for you? If it did what event took place before you started having problems.

Not all of the fuses and relays in the box are supposed to be populated, it depends on your model and options. There are always a couple of empty holes.

Basically sounds like somebody did something that caused major electrical failure.

Hi Hollym. Doesnt sound like a fuse. Sounds like it may be a battery issue. How old is the HHR and battery?

If you do a search you will find these little grocery getters have all kinds of strange things happen when the battery starts to get weak. Thats where I would start. I know others will weigh in and help also.

Good luck.

Hi ya'll, yes I am fairly sure that I need a new battery, just checki

ng anything I can think of.

Yes the car worked fine until yesterday afternoom, although I have had some troubles with tc and ce lights.
Last time battery was killed was actually last January when my son neglected to fully close a door and the dome stayed on all night.

The only out of the ordinary thing yesterday was getting new tires.

Think I will take the truck I borrowed and go get a battery.

Tjanks!

FWIW. All the fuses and relays are listed in the owners manual. If you don't have an owners manual, one is available on this site for download.

Just click the link below Holly, then select your model year to download a PDF of the owner's manual.

Your local Auto Parts Store can Test your Battery & Charging system & if you have any parasitic drains.. it is FREE...........

I'd have them test it before ya crack open the wallet..

Edit: Also under the fuse box cover lid (under the hood), every fuse is listed & where it is etc...

Thanks! I have an owners manual and lids, but am not sure about what some of the abbreviations mean.

No biggie, tried to get a battery at Walmart last night,.could not. Back to Napa and autozone today.

HHR's take a Group 90T5 battery, Wally World has yet to offer that size, might not ever offer that size.
