fuses

Which fuse controls the rear backup lights on my 07 HHR? Is it on the passenger side interior fuse box? What number on the fuse grid is it?
I got stopped by the police last night because I did not have rear lights, although the brake lights worked. Lucky for me, he did not give me a ticket.

Sheila, if you are still under warranty, the Dealer can fix it for you. Or the manual also tells you which ones they are.

My chargers aren't working (was the front console first, now the back charger as well) and will have them replace the fuses when I get the oil changed next month.

Sure I could do it myself, but why?!

On the 2009 (I can only assume it is the same for your 2007) the rear Lamps Fuse is #69 in the engine compartment fuse box. No need to consult the Owners Manual a label to the fuses is on the inside of the cover for future reference. Same for the interior fuse box, the label is on the kick panel you remove to gain access.

Sheila,
Did you ever get an answer to?
Does anyone know if the 07 HHR speedometer registers while being towed?

I would always take the 5 - 15 minutes necessary for a fuse check to avoid a trip to the dealer. My purchasing dealer is 5 hours away and at any dealer I don't enjoy the time spent waiting - I'd rather be doing something active.
